Ratnakar Ojha

Art, for me, should be both visually beautiful and emotionally expressive. I choose the size of my canvas based on the idea I want to convey, when the concept calls for boldness, I prefer larger canvases because they give me the freedom to move and respond more naturally. I usually focus on a single figure or object, keeping the background simple so the subject can stand out clearly and speak for itself.

A powerful artwork has a magnetic pull, it draws the viewer in, no matter the style, whether figurative, abstract, or something else. In my paintings, colour, texture, and line are essential. I find much more peace and inspiration in nature than in the artificial world. I tend to use basic, warm colours. The red in my work is never harsh or aggressive; colour takes on different meanings depending on its form, a red circle feels very different from a red triangle.
