Authenticity

Is every work a unique original?

Yes, without exception. Every painting in this collection is a one-of-a-kind original made entirely by hand by Ratnakar Ojha. There are no prints, reproductions, limited editions, or artist's proofs. What you purchase is the only one in existence.

Does each painting come with a Certificate of Authenticity?

Every work ships with a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the artist. It includes the title, year of creation, medium, dimensions, and unique inventory reference. This certificate travels with the work and forms part of its permanent provenance record.

How do I know the work is genuinely by Ratnakar Ojha?

Each work comes directly from the artist's studio. Ratnakar Ojha has exhibited since 1983, at institutions including the Jehangir Art Gallery, the Prince of Wales Museum in Mumbai, and internationally through Saffronart, India's leading fine art auction house. The Certificate of Authenticity, signed personally by the artist, accompanies every sale. Additional provenance documentation is available on request.

Can I see more images or a detail shot before purchasing?

Always. We encourage it. Contact us with the artwork reference and we will send additional photographs, including close-ups of the surface, brushwork, edges, and the reverse of the work. For significant purchases we can also arrange a video call to view the piece in real time.

Pricing & Payment

Are prices in Euros?

Yes. All prices on this website are listed in Euros (€) and are the same for all European buyers regardless of country.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards at checkout. If you would prefer to pay by bank transfer, get in touch about the work you are interested in and we will arrange it directly.

Do you offer payment in installments?

We do not currently offer instalment arrangements. All works are sold at the listed price, payable in full at the time of purchase.

Can I make an offer or negotiate on price?

Prices reflect the established value of the artist's work and are generally firm. For collectors purchasing two or more works, or for institutional acquisitions, we are open to a conversation. Please enquire directly.

Returns & Guarantee

What if the work looks different in person?

We work hard to prevent this. Before confirming a purchase we encourage you to request additional images, ask questions, and take time with your decision. If something about the delivered work is materially different from how it was represented on the website, contact us immediately and we will resolve it.

Can I return a work if I change my mind?

Under EU consumer law you have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and the work must be returned in its original, undamaged condition and packaging. A full refund of the purchase price will be issued within 5 working days of receipt. Please write to theojhagallery@gmail.com to initiate the return process.

How long does it take to get my money back?

It usually takes about 3-5 business days from the return of your product.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you ship to Europe?

Yes, we ship to all European countries from our base in Europe. Delivery is straightforward, with no cross-border complexity or long transit times.

How is the artwork packed and protected?

Every work is packed to gallery shipping standards. Oil on paper works are interleaved with acid-free glassine, backed with rigid archival board, and placed in a sealed, padded outer crate. Oil on canvas works are wrapped in acid-free tissue and secured in a double-walled custom box. We photograph the packing process for every shipment.

How long does delivery take to my country?

Most European destinations receive their work within 3–7 working days via DHL Express. You will receive a tracking number as soon as the work is dispatched. We ship Monday to Friday. Delivery to more remote addresses may take up to 10 working days.

Is the work insured during transit?

Yes. Every shipment is fully insured to its purchase value from the moment it leaves our hands until it is signed for at your address. In the unlikely event of loss or damage in transit, you are fully covered.

Who covers customs duties and import taxes?

For buyers within the European Union, all taxes and duties are included in the price, there is nothing additional to pay on delivery.

For buyers outside the EU, local import taxes and customs fees are not included and may be charged by your country's customs authority. These are collected by DHL prior to delivery on behalf of local customs.

We are unable to advise on the exact amount of these charges in advance as they vary by country. We recommend contacting your local customs office for an estimate before ordering. If import fees are not paid and the order is returned to us, we will be in touch to discuss next steps.
